July 4th Boat Parades
Each July 4th, the Lake Chemung Riparian Association coordinates a boat parade on the lake with boats decorated in accordance with a selected theme. This has been a time-honored tradition over the years. Participants enjoy fun and prizes. The Association has developed a "rotating" trophy that is given to the first prize winner each year. The trophy is engraved with each year's winners and it is kept at the winner's home for one year until the next parade-when the new winner takes possession of the trophy.

Hot Air Ballooning in Howell, Michigan
Every year in late June, Howell Michigan is the home of a Balloon-Fest where hundreds of hot air balloon owners bring their balloons to town and particpate in a host of activities.
