PLEASE HELP! 

If you support what the LCRA is trying to do for Lake Chemung, please remit your dues.   If you are new to the lake and/or a lake resident who has not paid dues in the past, please consider becoming a member of this very important organization. 

*****The LCRA is responsible for overseeing the weed control program on the lake.  Without your LCRA membership and volunteers to maintain the Association, there will be no one to oversee weed control on the lake.  Please help keep our lake in great shape.  Don't let the accumulation of aquatic nuisance weeds compromise our property values and the enjoyment we share when we swim, boat, fish in our wonderful lake!

Your annual membership is due and payable on September 1 of each year.  Your LCRA membership is from September 1 through August 31 of the following year.  The LCRA's annual meeting is held in August of each year.  Our dues are only $15.00/year ... a small price to pay to help preserve the quality of the lake that we all enjoy.

What the Lake Chemung Riparian Association does….The mission of the LCRA is to control lake pollution and to preserve the recreational quality of the lake through water testing, aquatic weed control, surface water drainage studies, lake-user education, and activities that help prevent improper construction and development and that promote safe boating practices.  Membership money is used to:

bullet Provide lake-related educational training and brochures to the membership,
bullet Publish and mail an annual newsletter and maintain a website for information sharing,
bullet Coordinate and oversee an aquatic plant management program for the lake,
bullet Recommend and promote activities that will enhance watershed protection,
bullet Award a college scholarship to a local high school student and/or work with a high school program to perform a project beneficial to the lake,
bullet Coordinate activities for member enjoyment such as the July 4th boat parade,
bullet Perform routine lake testing to evaluate the long-term water quality in the lake, and
bullet Perform other activities, programs, and projects that meet the goals of the Association as recommended by the membership.
